Mother’s Day gift guide for breastfeeding moms

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and if you're looking for the perfect gift we have your covered!

Breastfeeding is one of the most challenging parts of being a new mom. Giving the nursing mom in your life a present that will make her feel better - and feel loved - is the perfect way to show her that you support her while also making her feel special. Here are a few of our favorite gifts!

Breastfeeding Gift Basket
Who doesn’t love a gift basket!! How about getting together some of the essentials for a nursing mom, including nipple cream, nursing pads, water bottle (you’ve got to stay hydrated), ChapStick, her favorite snacks and lactation tea. We also suggest adding a hand written notes with a few words of encouragement for the special nursing mom in your life!

Silver Nursing Cups
If you haven’t heard of these – you’ll thank us later! These special protective nursing cups help heal and prevent cuts, wounds, cracks, soreness and infections. They’re also really great for those who are dealing with cracked nursing nipples. They’re easy to clean, too. You can start using them right away and they won’t change the taste or smell of breast milk.

Dimmable night light
These are great for those midnight feeds! You can control the light in the nursery or bedroom which will hopefully help the little one fall back to sleep quickly (and help mom get back to bed). We found several of these nightlights on Amazon for around $20.

Nursing Pajamas
Having something comfy and cozy to relax at night and sleep in is so important. Plus, it feels a little luxurious when you may not actually feel that way. Nipple Balm 
A nipple balm or cream is always a great stocking stuffer. It’s great to find one that also works with pump flanges! When choosing one, think about what’s in the cream. Does it have a strong smell? What about the texture? Read some of the reviews – or stock up on her favorite brand!
